Best Training Strategies for 2015
There are many ways to facilitate employee training. As we enter 2015, the approaches have become even more innovative. Training Station highlights some of the most popular training strategies that will be more widely used this year and beyond:
- Virtual Classrooms – Virtual classrooms are the most comprehensive type of training resource because it incorporates accessibility to technology (e.g., mobile tablets, computers, etc.) as well as traditional tools (e.g., whiteboards, audio, video, breakout rooms, etc.) Virtual classrooms promote learning and encourages collaboration.
- Video Learning – Video training is often preferred because it easily accessible and flexible. When training videos are created, they are accessible to anyone. They are also flexible in that users can move forward at their own pace. This format allows employees more autonomy and independence in their learning.
- Mobile Learning – Mobile learning provides one of the most dynamic, interactive, and accessible learning experiences. Because mobile devices are so universal, users can access training programs from anywhere at any time. Mobile learning allows for multimedia learning, enabling users to read, listen to audio, watch video, and explore social media.
- Social Learning – Social learning utilizes a collaborative approach. It usually occurs on an online platform so it can connect users globally. These platforms facilitate interaction with others. Because users can learn from other and share ideas, it could lead to more innovative thinking.
- Big Data – Big data is a valuable resource to gauge the effectiveness of employee training and to improve it. Big data can track group patterns in ease and difficulty, which can aid in personalizing training courses. It provides valuable immediate feedback.
