Experiencing TEDx St. Louis Women

TEDx St. Louis hosted a fantastic speaker series recently at the St. Louis Public Library. Seven exceptional women presented their stories that CMA consultants, Michelle Streich, PhD and Dana Borchert, PhD thought were worth sharing.

Many of the TEDx talks were focused on having an impact on the world and driving change through innovation.  For example, Susan Solvic discussed the importance of making “a just noticeable difference” through incremental change. She stated that this is how people and organizations could achieve sustainable results; it’s not through trying to be the next best thing.

Women in technology was also a key theme that rang throughout the talks. Speakers illustrated how technology is changing the way we do business and how we could meet needs in Third World Countries.  Stephanie Leffler demonstrated how freelancers can get a job for the day, week, or month via websites and do it all from anywhere in the world. It was inspiring to see what women can do with creativity, technology, and perseverance.

There were many inspiring messages that we can’t share here. So, go watch all of these talks on TED.com.
